Sian de Silva

"As a receptionist I have the privilege of witnessing the profound impact osteopathy has on a person’s wellbeing. My primary focus is to ensure that each patient feels genuinely appreciated, listened to, and valued the moment they step into the clinic."

I'm currently studying a Bachelor of Health Science and Bachelor of Applied Science (Osteopathy) at RMIT. I'm really drawn to osteopathy because it's a hands-on profession where I can directly help people improve their health and well-being. I love the opportunity to build strong relationships with patients, which I believe is essential for successful treatment.

In my free time, I like to get outdoors and enjoy nature. I go for runs with my dog Tex, go camping, ride my bike, and ski in the winter. Taking care of my mental health is also important to me, so I practice meditation and listen to health and wellness podcasts.

What I love most about osteopathy is the holistic approach to treating patients. It's not just about treating the symptoms but understanding the whole person and finding the underlying causes of their issues. I don't believe in just giving someone a pill and sending them on their way. It's about addressing the root causes and helping people live healthier lives
